Zack is two!

Well it is official - Zack is now 2 years old. I simply can't believe that he has been part of our family for two years now. What a blessing he has been and we thank God for giving us the privilege of raising him.
We had a few parties for the little man. This is his cake on his actual birthday - angel food cake with strawberry and cool whip - yummy!!
This is the gift that Zack got from Mommy and Daddy and MeMe and Pappy. He LOVES his tractor and asks for it first thing in the morning. By the way - I am glad that we have a lot more years until he is actually driving on the road. Watch out fence - here comes Zack!!! Whose idea was it to let a 2 year old drive and operate a moving vehicle!!!

When we were in Denver a week before Zack's birthday, we were able to celebrate Zack's birthday with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Mark and Mark's girlfriend Ashley. Grandma made Zack an Elmo cake - and under the yummy frosting was her famous red velvet cake. This was a request by Daddy (Kris) as it is his favorite cake. Yummy!!

Look at the surprise on his face. When you ask Zack about his birthday, he says "Elmo cake". To him, this was his official, and favorite, bithday cake. Good job Grandma!!

A few gifts... all still played with daily!

What a great time we had celebrating... and there is still more celebrating to come!

Birthday party #3

Zack had a megabloks birthday party for all of his friends. (I planned TOO ahead of time I guess, because he is not that into megabloks anymore, but very much into Elmo, tractors and firetrucks). Oh well, the party was a lot of fun and the Megabloks theme was still great.
Here is the megabloks cake that I made for the little guy.

One reason I chose this theme was because it is colorful, and for the most part, we had all the decorations (the blocks) already here at the house.

Kris and I made the napkin holder, silverware holders, and decorations all out of megabloks. It turned out really cute and colorful - and again - free!!!

More gifts...

check out the cute chair he got with his name on it!

This is too cute - we put the cake down in front of Zack and he immediately folded his hands and said "pray". What a sweet little boy!

Yah!!! I love it when kids clap after they blow out the candles.

Then it was time for playing outside - bubbles, blocks, balls... what more do you need for a great time? (even though it was extremely hot and very humid)

Another successful birthday party is done! Happy Birthday Zack-Man and we love you bunches.

More Snowy Fun!

The snow continued through the night on Thursday, and this is the scene that I woke up to on Friday morning. So beautiful, and rare for East Texas. We had about 6 inches in all.

The minute Zack saw the snow outside that morning, he wanted to go outside and play. Here he is in his snow suit that Grandma got him for Colorado. Who knew we would use it in Texas!

Kris did not work on Friday because his office didn't have any power. This meant that he got to play in the snow with Zack! They had a great time.

Notice how deep the snow is on Zack.

Their cute snowman!

What a great experience Zack had. Good thing Grandma and Papa live in Colorado so that he can have many more fun snow days!

Snow Day!

Today we were blessed with snow in East Texas. It started snowing at 7:30 this morning, and the snow is supposed to continue through the night. Zack and I had a lot of fun playing in the snow today, and hopefully we can play more tomorrow.

So you know, Zack had on gloves, and he kept taking them off. I guess after a while, he just couldn't feel the cold anymore!

We went inside to get a new (and dry) pair of gloves, and he saw his hats and tie that were in the same basket. Zack had to have his tie and three hats on. You will notice in later pictures that he is wearing a different hat. Only Zack would want to wear a tie to play out in the snow!!!

This is as close as Noah got to the snow. He was the smart one staying all warm and cozy in the house! He watched us from the window - actually he was sleeping the whole time we were outside! Oh to be a little baby again!

One month old today!

Happy one month Noah! You are so special to us and thank you for blessing our lives this past month. We look forward to many, many more months to come! (Cupcake pictures to come soon!)

Baby Eat

Today I walked into Zack's playroom and this is what I found. He looked up at me and said, "Mama, baby eat!". He was so proud of himself for feeding his baby just like Mama feeds Noah!

The past month

It was so nice to have everyone here to celebrate Noah's birth. Here are Grandma and Grandpa (re-named Papa since then), and MeMe and Pappy with their beautiful grandsons.

Big boy on his tricycle!

My boys and I celebrating my 31st Birthday

Wow, Zack looks so big next to Noah!
