4 months old (yesterday)

Here is the little man yesterday on his 4th month celebration day! He got all dressed up for the special occasion (actually this is a onesie - but oh so cute!). It is becoming more difficult to have him stay still for a picture these days, so this is the only one we got of him that wasn't blurry from him moving. He always looks so wide-eyed in his pictures. We love the little guy so much and can't wait for the upcoming months (and years) with him in our lives! Happy 4 months Zack!

Hey - who took away my cupcake!

I can hold up my head!

Since we have returned from our vacation, our world has been filled with playing with toys and practicing holding up that head! Zack has just started to "bounce" in his bouncy chair (Camille - we are taking good care of it and just love it!). Notice the box under his feet - he is just a little too short to touch the ground. He sometimes plays with the toys, but for now he is just figuring out the bouncing thing! This is now where he hangs out while Mommy is making dinner! Here is the little guy holding up his head!
He loves looking at the camera and making such silly faces!
This is Zack's favorite toy that he spins around and around.
He as also rolled over 3 times this week from his stomach to his back. He is starting to move around a whole bunch!
Sorry this one is blurry - but too cute not to share!
It is rare that Zack gets a bottle, but this one was left over from Church today, so Kris was finishing it off. Kris let go for a second, and Zack took right over! So cute!

Uncle Mark and Ducky

Uncle Mark gave Zack a new nickname - Ducky. It is a cute little name, and I must say that it has stuck. Kris and I find ourselves calling him Ducky every once in while.

BIG YAWNS!!!

Swim, swim, swim

We decided that it was time for Zack to have his first swimming experience. Our hotel had a very nice indoor swimming pool, and MeMe bought him a cute bathing suit - so he was all ready to go! Zack loved the water and had a great time swimming with his cousins.

Matt and Dawn's wedding

On Monday evening, my cousin Matt and his beautiful fiance Dawn were married. The wedding was just wonderful and had a picture perfect background. Congratulations Matt and Dawn and may you have a blessed marriage!
Wasn't Dawn just beautiful? Ok, Matt was handsome too!

While Matt and Dawn were stunning, I think the best looking person there was... well, you know, our son! He slept right through the wedding like a perfect baby.

The Ridenour family

Here Zack is after a very fun reception. Mommy must have wore him out dancing!

A day in Charleston

On Monday morning, we toured the beautiful and historical city of Charleston.

Zack with his Uncles Eric and Mark.
Zack with Uncle Mark's IPOD - don't worry, the music was off! So cute!

Mommy and her little man on the trolley in Charleston.

It looks like Zack is about ready to dig in to Daddy's yummy shrimp!

Our trip to South Carolina - Saturday and Sunday

We made our first family trip to South Carolina for my cousin Matt's wedding this past week. We were so nervous about flying with Zack, and having that baby that everyone can't stand on the plane. It was actually quite the opposite. Zack did so well, and on one of our flights, the lady behind us as we were getting off the plane said: "there was a baby in front of me this whole time?" What a relief! We had such a great time. This is only the first couple of days. I will update the rest of our trip in the days to come.

Here we are in DFW with all of our stuff!
After Zack ate, he went quickly to sleep on the plane. What a little angel!

Kiawah Island is a private resort island in South Carolina (very close to Charleston). This is where my cousin got married, and where we spent a lot of our time. The island was so beautiful and so peaceful and definitely a place that I would like to return to in the future!

Zack and Uncle Eric

Here is Zack ready to go to the beach for the first time!

This is the house that my Aunt and Uncle rented for the week on the island. We spent a lot of time in this wonderful house during our week there.

Right across the street from the house was this little pathway to the beach. The bikes along the path are how most people get around the island.

Here we are on the beach. We didn't stay long because it was very hot and windy. Not good conditions for a little baby!

Daddy and Zack had a long day!

Sunday night was the rehearsal dinner at this wonderful local restaurant. Here is Zack with his Grandma and Grandpa.
