Our second little man

Well I guess I am going to have to get used to talking about two little guys very soon. Here is our second little man, obviously still in the womb, but we wanted to share this beautiful picture with you. Isn't technology amazing?? These are the most recent sonogram pictures of Baby Thornton (we call him "Sport", since he is yet to be named). I just love his little lips - Mama can't wait to kiss all over them! Do you think he has Daddy's forehead?? Ok, and Mommy's nose! We can't wait to meet him in January - we love you little Sport!

Here is the only picture I have of my prego belly! Things sure are different with the second child!!! I currently weigh more than when I had Zack, and my doctor is predicting that Sport will be around 8 pounds. He is definitely a healthy little boy! Mommy is doing well also - feeling great, and praise the Lord - I don't have gestational diabetes with this pregnancy! God has been so good, but I am definitely ready to have this little man. Please continue to pray for our family and for continued health for us all.

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we headed to Pappy's Pumpkin Patch for some fall fun! We went with our good friends Kim, Shayne and Connor Whyte. It was nice and cool and got us ready for fall.

We wanted this picture of Zack, but he wanted to be driving the tractor. I guess you could call this the ugly cry face!!

Everything was fine again once he got back on the tractor. He must really like tractors, because later that week he said "tractor". Now he looks for tractors in his books and gets so excited!

Shapes puzzle

Zack has been doing this puzzle for a few months now, but I finally got it on tape. He gets very excited when I mention his shapes puzzle! We are so proud of our little man and how much he loves to learn. (Please excuse the hair - bad hair day!!)

Tennis fun with Grandpa and Daddy

Last weekend Grandpa Brad stopped off in Longview on his way from Florida to Colorado for a little visit. We had a wonderful time! Of course Grandpa and Daddy had to play tennis, and this time Zack was able to participate a little. Everyone had a great time.

Zack's new favorite thing is to say 1, 2, 3... go! It does not sound exactly like that, but we know what he means, and he will get better as he keeps practicing!

Today Zack had his first year pictures taken (oops, a little late!!) He did such a great job and we all had a great time! Enjoy!

We are back!

Wow, it is amazing how fast 4 months go by!!! I apologize for being non existent these past few months, but we are back and ready to keep you all updated on our family once again!

Here are a few of the major things that have happened the past 4 months:

• WE ARE PREGNANT!!!! (this has been the major reason that I have not updated the blog in a while) I am 5 months pregnant with another little boy! Our due date is January 13th. I was sick again, but not as serious this time - at least no hospital stay!! I can't thank everyone enough for the prayers, meals and help that you all gave. Thanks so much!

• Zack is growing up so fast! He now is now 16 months old, has 16 teeth, RUNS everywhere, says a bunch of random words (circle, shoes, Amen, outside, uh-oh, square, etc.), loves shoes, loves to be outside, and just loves life! He is such a joy and we are so much in love with this little guy!

• We had a very sad loss in our family, the passing of my Grandma Eunice last month. We are thrilled that she is in heaven and no longer suffering, but we are still grieving here on earth. I am so happy that Zack and I were able to get to Florida last December so she was able to meet Zack. We miss you and love you Grandma. See you soon!

• I have started watching a little girl McKenzie. Her parents Chris and Cassie are good friends from church, and it is fun to have a newborn around the house again. Whenever we go out in public, which has been like twice, I get very strange looks. I am five months pregnant, have a 13 week old and a one year old (which is not humanly possible by the way!!). McKenzie is good practice for all of us, but especially Zack. He is going to be a great big brother!
  

• Kris is doing great and staying very busy with work. He is very excited to have another son and is making plans about what he and his two sons will do together one day!!

Mother's Day - now and then

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my little man and Kris. I love you both and thanks for making me feel like the best Mom each and every day!

This past week, Zack took 5 steps and has been working on it this week! It won't be long!!

Happy 1st Birthday Zack!!!!

Well it is official - our little man has turned one! This sweet baby boy of ours has blessed our lives for an entire year, and we love him so much! Happy Birthday Zack and we can't wait for many, many more years to come!
