Our evening routine
As any new mother, I have read a few books about routines and how important they are to the little ones. Well, we have been working really hard on all of our routines, and one that we have down pretty well is our evening routine. I think it is easier because Kris is home to help in the evening. I must say though that Zack's nap schedule is very consistent! Well, here is a little taste of what our evening routine looks like. And yes - I do help with the routine as well, it is not all Kris (I am just the one that takes the pictures!)
After our walk, it is bath time. Zack LOVES bath time!
Then he gets fed. This is only his second bottle. Usually it is Mommy that feeds him.
Then Daddy reads him a few stories...
And then it is off to bed!
Good night and sweet dreams.

Our cloth diapers are here!!!
For those of you that didn't know, we are using cloth diapers. We ordered the diapers quite a long time ago, and today they have finally come in. We are very excited - especially to not have to buy as many diapers! We are waiting for the second shipment to come in tomorrow. Check out the diapers - things have changed since my Mom used cloth diapers on me. These diapers are adjustable and will fit Zack until he is 3o pounds. They are also pre-folded and have velcro to close. They are really neat (as neat as diapers can be!) Check back with us in a few weeks and see if we are still so excited about them!

Our beautiful family
To my family -
"Whatever I say means more when you listen. Whatever I think means more when you understand. Whatever I do means more when you are there. Whatever happens to me means more if I can share it with you. Thank you for adding so much to my life". - Susan Polis Schutz
I love you so much Kris and Zack. I love our family, and everything means more to me since you are part of my life!

Mommy and Zack time
I simply love spending my days at home with Zack. Of course it is not always roses, but we do have a lot of fun. He is really starting to interact, which I love. Here he is at 8 weeks old today!

Zack's Awesome Mom!!!
Zack has one incredible mom. I couldn't have asked or prayed for a better mother for my child. Emily sacrifices so much for our family. After spending all day with him; she still will stay up with him all night, when he isn't sleepy, to allow me to rest so I'm not tired for work the next day. She also has dinner ready when I get home! Although, I offer to lend a hand in the middle of the night, because I cherish every single minute with my little Zack-man, she still says she will take care of it. Also, she is teaching Zack so much about Christ already, by reading him Bible stories and praying with him daily. I love the fact that I married an awesome Christian woman.
Emily is one awesome mom. I know there are special roles for me as dad, but Emily gets "Mom of the Year" award for all she does for our family. Thank you Emily for all you do for our family. I love you so much, and I know Zack does too. You are truly cherished.

I definitely do not have a green thumb, which is strange to me because my mom loves working in the garden. Well, when my mom was here in March, she worked on the flower bed in front of our house and made it look really, really good. She added some flowers again when Zack was born, but since she has left, they died. I figured that I needed to do something, so here it is. It may not look like a lot, but since I killed my aloe plant recently, it is a big deal! Also, check out the new bird bath!

Happy First Father's Day Kris!
Make sure you listen to the song that is playing by Philips, Craig and Dean. The words are awesome and perfect for Father's Day. May this be every father's prayer - to be just like Christ because his son will try to be just like him!

Play time
Here is Zack playing in his bouncy chair. This chair is his favorite thing ever and he would spend his entire life in it if it changed his diaper and fed him!! He is getting so big and is becoming so alert. My little boy is growing up!

Visitor from Georgia
This past week my best friend Crissie from Atlanta came to visit us and meet Zack. We had such a great time. Crissie and I have not seen each other in two years since the birth of her daughter Lexi, so we had a lot to catch up on! Crissie and I grew up together in Florida and have known each other since we were 5. She is such a great friend and I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Thanks for coming Crissie and meeting my precious baby boy.
