Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a busy, but wonderful day filled with family and wonderful food! We have much to be thankful for - God has blessed us greatly.

We are so thankful for our beautiful baby boy.
We are thankful for a wonderful family (on both of our sides). Here is a picture of Kris' grandma, Nanny, with some of her great grand children. How is it that the 7 month old is the only one looking at the camera!?!?!
Here is Zack with his cousins, Aiden, Skylar and Paris. They make cute pilgrims and turkeys!

After our great time at Nanny's, we spent more time at MeMe and Pappy's house.

AND... Zack took his first ride on the four wheeler. Mommy was a little nervous, but all was well - and I have to work on not being an over-protective mom!!

My handsome boys after their ride!

Our trip to Houston

This past weekend we visited our good friends David, Mandy and Watson Grantham in Houston. Here are Zack and Watson on Saturday morning. This was the first time they had seen each other since the 4th of July. They had a great time playing, and even started learning how to share!!!

After we all got ready, Mandy, Watson, Zack and I headed to Old Town Spring for a little shopping. Mandy and I have a tradition of shopping there around this time of year. Next year the boys will be staying with their dads, and we will be going by ourselves!!
The boys were great, but Old Town Spring is definitely not stroller friendly. Speaking of strollers, how cute are they in their matching strollers!

That evening we all ate at Freebirds and then went to Amy's for icecream. We set the boys on the table in Amy's, and then had a flashback to 4 months ago.

Here they are at Quiznos in July.

On Sunday, we got to see Camille and Pierce, our good friends who are currently living in Singapore. They are in Texas for a few weeks, and we were so happy to see them.

Camille with Watson and Zack. This is the first time she has met both boys!

Pierce and Zack

After the Denton's left, Zack and Watson were back to playing! Here they are showing off their just how much they have grown since last time they were together.

Compare the previous picture to this one in July. Wow - they have been busy growing!

How cute are these two! We can't wait to have these little guys grow up together and become great friends. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we hope to see you all soon!

We have a 7 month old!

On Monday, Zack was 7 months old. We have had a busy month - Zack has learned how to sit up, drink out of a sippy cup, say "ba-ba-ba" and taking a nap in his crib! We look forward to the many, many months and years to come with this little man.

New sounds

Here are some of the new sounds that Zack has started to make. He is really starting to interact and "talk" with us. He is such a silly little guy - already entertaining Mommy and Daddy!

That beautiful smile

Kris and I love to see Zack smile. We just love that little guy so much, in case you couldn't tell! Here are a few of his recent smiley pictures. We are so blessed to have such a happy baby.

Home made toys!

I know they say that kids would rather play with things around the house than their nice, expensive toys. Well, Zack now has his home made toys that he loves playing with. I have noticed that he is interested in items that are stacked, and loves to knock them down. I was going to go buy him some blocks, but I decided to make them myself. I took some of the Gerber food containers (I have about a million), put rice in them and then taped them shut. Instant blocks (Mom - I know you are proud!). Also, plastic cups will keep him entertained for hours, especially if you hide one of his toys under them!
Zacks Christmas list: plasitc cups, plastic bowls, empty boxes, empty Gerber containers...wow, this is going to be an easy Christmas!!

The next accomplishent - sitting up!

Zack is now able to sit up. He is progressing so well, and we are so proud of him. It won't be long before we are chasing him everywhere!

Notice the big smile? He is smiling at Deke, our dog. He sure does love that dog!

Our Halloween Visitors

Kris' friend Shaun, his wife Kristie, and their sons Brodie and Talon came to Longview to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time with them here. Kristie and I went to get a massage on Saturday while the guys watched the boys. Thanks Shaun and Kris for that wonderful gift!
Here is Brodie watching tv with his girlfriend. (This is an Emily Elizabeth doll that I have that he carried around with him the entire weekend!)

Talon and Zack with all eyes on Brodie.

How cute! Here is Zack at 6 months, and Talon at 2 months.

Shaun and Brodie ready for Trick or Treating.

Trick or Treating

We decided to take Zack around in our neigborhood for a little Trick or Treating. Here he is all ready to go and show off his cute tiger outfit!

Here we are at the first house.

Zack knew exactly what to do!! He reached in that bucket and grabbed some candy. It was very cute. He did that at all the other houses as well. He is going to have a sweet tooth like his Mommy!!

We went trick or treating with some friends that had come to visit us. Brodie (almost 2 years old) could care less about the candy, he just wanted to ring the doorbells!

Here are the Dads and their tiger sons!

It was a fun night for all, and Kris and I have enjoyed the candy that Zack got for us. Thanks little Boo!

Trunk or Treat

A couple of weeks ago we had the Fall Festival at our church, which they call Trunk or Treat. Our Sunday School class made sugar cookies, and we had the kids decorate them. It was a lot of fun!
Here are a couple of girls from our class with Zack.

Since Zack was a tiger, Kris and I dressed up like Safari hunters. It was fun to dress up and we got a lot of comments on our outfits.
